Heritage in Dialogue

A project in which several organisations have collaborated, including Crisis Response and Policy Center (CRPC) from Serbia, Active Women’s Association from Poland and Recreando Estudio Creativo from Spain.
About the project
The problems faced by refugee women that can complicate the integration process may include low qualifications, cultural characteristics, level of education, role in the family, late or no integration (language learning, social integration) and living in closed residential areas.

The multicultural reality of the EU requires citizens and institutions to be more open to intercultural dialogue. We recognise that integration is a long-term process that takes time, and that cultural understanding is what helps us preserve our cultural identity while respecting others. The proposed activities will help create a space for dialogue in which cultures are seen as equals, encouraging the exchange of different ideas and perspectives
Our motivation is to create what we, as social actors, consider promising non-formal education methods for working with young migrants, which could be further used by migrant women themselves when working with vulnerable groups, and also by the participating organisations as a tool in youth work.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

Increase empathy and cultural understanding between migrant women and local communities in 3 different countries.
02
Increase access to cultural heritage through understanding, dialogue and engagement.
03
Empower migrant women and give visibility to the problems they face, encouraging more active participation in the community.
04
Reduce stereotypes and prejudices about culture and customs by looking for shared values.
05
