From the neighbourhood to the mountains

Two projects that define us: Haciendo Barrio, which brings together all our community work in the San Pablo neighbourhood (Zaragoza), and Unstaffed mountain huts, the guide to the free mountain huts of the Pyrenees.

Haciendo Barrio

Haciendo Barrio is the socio-educational and community programme we run in the San Pablo neighbourhood (Zaragoza), in ongoing collaboration with CEIP Santo Domingo primary school.

We offer free, safe and nearby spaces for children, teenagers, young people, families and women in the neighbourhood, to prevent social exclusion and strengthen community life and support networks.

Mountain guide · Pyrenees

Unstaffed mountain huts

Unstaffed mountain huts is the website of the Refugios Pirineo project: the guide to unstaffed mountain huts and camping in the Pyrenees, backed by the Aragonese Mountaineering Federation and Fundación Ibercaja.

It gathers information about the free huts and cabins of the Pyrenees (there are more than 1,500) and about the overnight-stay rules in each area, and promotes responsible use of the mountains.

In Zaragoza and Aragon

Initiatives we carry out in Zaragoza and rural Aragon together with public administrations, federations and foundations.
